ABOUT HCB
HCB, a project of Hack Club, is a nonprofit fiscal sponsorship platform that empowers over 1,300 groups—comprising charitable organizations, hackathons, and clubs—to raise funds, manage their finances, and organize events with ease and transparency.
As a leading financial platform, we provide a comprehensive suite of services that includes a legal entity with 501(c)(3) status, tax management, and a real-time dashboard of finances, among others. We serve as the fiscal sponsor for these vibrant communities, enabling them to focus on their world-class initiatives while we handle their financial administration.
* Fiscal sponsorship offers a way for a cause to attract donors even when it is not yet recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). In essence, the fiscal sponsor serves as the administrative "home" of the cause. Charitable contributions are given to the fiscal sponsor, which then grants them to support the cause.
